About Us

Modern Eastern Medicine for postpartum care.

A time-honored tradition first recorded over 2,000 years ago, confinement or "sitting the month" was a privilege once enjoyed by the empresses of China after childbirth.

For 30 days, imperial doctors would provide specialized postpartum care to the royal family, helping the empresses recover their strength and vitality. We bring that same care to our LiLi patients today.

Our Story

We started LiLi to give birthing parents the healing they deserve.

After Dr. Lily Yeh gave birth to her children in 2013 and 2015, she was diagnosed with a third-degree uterine prolapse. She consulted her OB-GYN, midwife, and doula for guidance on how to treat her severe injury.

The solutions proposed were invasive: inserting a metal umbrella to open and lift Lily's uterus, or using staples to hold her uterus in place. Lily opted for a third way. For the next month, she was directed to bind her torso and sleep with pillows under her pelvis. To her amazement, her uterus returned to its original position — a full recovery without surgical intervention.

Today, Lily and her team of holistic health practitioners are dedicated to providing that same support for other birthing parents around the world. We help our patients recover from the strenuous process of pregnancy, labor, and birth.

Our Purpose

All our work is dedicated to the women before us.

Dr. Lily Yeh and Lina Lum started LiLi in 2021 to preserve and continue the tradition of postpartum care in Eastern Medicine. Once doctor and patient, our co-founders envisioned a way to share their knowledge with patients around the world. We follow in the footsteps of generations of doctors, nurses, midwives, doulas, caretakers, and birthing parents that came before us.
